O+ and Bench combine technology and style

MANILA, Philippines - O+, the US-born Android mobile technology brand, combined forces with Bench in its silver year of being a style mecca for Filipinos.

Last Dec. 2 at the new Glorietta 1 Activity Center, O+ and Bench melded vision and expertise in a stylish partnership. Six stylists —Sidney Yap, Adrian Concepcion, Macky Combe, Myrrh Lao To, Edlene Cabral, and Kate Paras — showcased the seamless union of fashion and technology.

Bench and O+ cultivate a new breed of Filipino fashionistas displaying creativity, vision, and technique, with each team comprised of makeup artists and hair experts to produce five coherently-styled looks fusing elements derived from Bench/’s and O+’s brand personality.

Each collection was judged on creativity, originality, and relevance to the theme by top designers Randy Ortiz and JC Buendia, media personalities Toff de Venecia, Liza Ilarde, Vince Uy, JJ San Juan,  PMAP president Phoemela Baranda, and Bench endorser and O+ brand ambassador Joseph Marco.

After the fashion exhibition, Sidney Yap’s futuristic take on fashion garnered the grand prize. Adrian Concepcion’s red and plaid collection got second place followed by Edlene Cabral’s military collection in close third.

Enjoying 25 years of dominance in the retail industry, Bench has bridged markets of varying social brackets without compromising its design stamp and persona.

On the other hand, O+’s Android series has recently broken ground on local shores. Work and play go hand in hand in its lineup of smart phones and tablets as O+ makes a dent in the tech-savvy market.

Through the revolutionary Air Shuffle technology, today’s Android brings us to greater heights by allowing swifter navigation using the unique motion sensor that allows users to easily switch FM radio stations, browse stored photos and music with one swoosh of the wrist, even capture Instagram-worthy moments without the need to touch the capture button.
