CSFI holds 'Sining sa Kongreso 3'

MANILA, Philippines - “Sining sa Kongreso,” an art exhibit featuring the works of Filipino masters and contemporary artists, is on view until Sept. 21 at the South Wing lobby of the House of Representatives in QC.

Organized by the Congressional Spouses Foundation Inc. president Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte together with project chair Mons Romulo and CSFI executive director Paula Locsin Bondoc, the show was well received by guests and friends of CSFI.

Cutting the ribbon were CSFI members and supporters Wilson Tieng, Margie Duavit, Kristine Singson Meehan, Ramon Orlina and Fred and Wilson Baldemor.

Special guests were Philippine STAR president Miguel Belmonte, artist Tam Austria with his wife Divine and businessman Louie Campos with wife Makati Rep. Abby Binay Campos.

Multi-awarded glass sculptor Ramon Orlina gave an inspiring message. His carved peach amber crystal titled  “Bountiful Treasure,” is the main attraction of the event. The artworks were carefully chosen by Art Gallery Asia’s Bong Verzosa and Jerome Jimenez.

Proceeds from “Sining sa Kongreso 3” will go to the various CSFI projects particularly the scholarships for young women leaders.  For inquiries, call Paula Bondoc at 931-5417 or e-mail csfi_congress@yahoo.com.
