The Groom
MANILA, Philippines - Atty. Jaqui Corsiga, supervising judicial staff officer at the Supreme Court, is the son of pediatrician Dr. Jose Corsiga and registered nurse Florence Quintos Corsiga.
The Bride
Dr. Maan Hilvano, neuroanesthesiologist from the UP-Philippine General, is daughter of surgeon Dr. Serafin Hilvano and the late Alice Fransisco Hilvano, who passed away when Maan was 13.
How They Met
She says: “We met on a blind date more than seven years ago.” He says: “I’m sure, she would say at a blind date, but we really first met at our village basketball court. We even played basketball, 3 on 3.”
The Proposal
Jaqui fondly recalls, “When our ninang Judge Geraldine Econg, after she learned that we were together for almost seven years, asked me, ‘What the hell are you waiting for?’ Before that day, I always had a good answer, but on that day I did not.” So on January 1, 2011, Jaqui proposed in Tagaytay during the annual Quintosian clan’s New Year’s celebration. Jaqui together with his twin brother Jerby distributed roses to all the ladies of the family. “At the stroke of midnight, while everyone was celebrating, they started to give me their roses one by one, greeting me a happy new year,” Maan reminisces with a smile. “Then Jaqui came out with the biggest bouquet of flowers I’ve even seen and went down on one knee. I started crying and couldn’t stop. I kept crying so he wasn’t able to say his speech and I wasn’t even able to say yes!”
The Wedding Attire
Maan worked together with designer Jose Domingo to create a beautiful A-line wedding gown which featured a pleated bodice of fine Thai silk. The dreamy tulle skirt highlighted a cascading hem which boasted a romantic French lace trim. The bridesmaids looked chic and elegant in gray matte jersey infinity dresses, also by Jose Domingo. The clean and chic green and white bouquets were by Maybelle Focasan-Bacakeo of Go For Flowers.
The Setting
The couple exchanged I dos last Jan. 26, at the church of Nuestra Senora de Garcia in Gaudalupe, Makati. The intimate reception of close family and friends was held at the North Forbes Pavilion. Jets and Rhona Battung of Canaan Celebrations served as the event coordinators and kept everything seamless.
The Food
Kar de Castro-Reyes of K by Cunanan Catering took care of the delicious buffet and event styling which featured a chic green, white and gray color palette. Instead of the traditional wedding cake, the couple opted for a mouthwatering chocolate cupcake tower which highlighted a sinful tablea cake on top, all by Denise Lazaro of Chocolat.

Everyone recapped the wedding day through the beautiful photos of J Lucas Reyes and the same-day-edit wedding video of videographer Joel Salindong.
