Mash it up with Coke and Myx

MANILA, Philippines - It must be one of the most amazing side effects of the show Glee: now, more than ever, we appreciate the beauty of music mash-ups. And no wonder: take two great artists and fuse their unique sound. The result? Music that’s doubly energizing and refreshing!

This is exactly what Coca-Cola and Myx Philippines serve up to Pinoy music lovers week after week on Coca-Cola Music Studio Volume Up. Since its launch, fans have been getting front-row access to only the most exciting, exclusive gigs as two artists join forces each month to whip up a mash-up of their popular hits, turning out a new track that gives energizing sonic refreshment.

How energizing? Just imagine Gloc-9 and Tanya Markova who performed a mash-up of their hits Bakit? and Picture Picture. Or the energizing cover of the women of rock with Kyla’s song, Mahal Kita and General Luna’s Tila. Or take Yeng Constantino’s Jeepney Love Story and cross it with Pedicab’s FX — and you have a top viewer and online favorite. All these happened at the Coca-Cola Music Studio in Myx.

Peek into the rehearsal studios as the artists work their magic to come up with smashing mash-ups each month. Also get a chance to be part of the Coca-Cola Music Talent Search where the Coke Happiness Bus rolls around the metro in search of the country’s next singing and dancing sensation. You may also catch talented Pinoy teens run down what’s in or out in the music scene with their Coke Music Playlists — the most popular choice gets played on the show!

Now in its second season, Coca-Cola Music Studio Volume Up is hosted by the fresh and energetic VJ Janine, VJ Bianca and VJ Chino. Catch it every Sunday at 5:30 p.m., with replays every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. only on Myx Philippines.
