MANILA, Philippines - I really do love this city I’ve called home for all of my years.
Today, Angeles City, known as the “entertainment city” of Central Luzon and the former home of the biggest American base, lies at a crossroads of change after being severely affected by the base pull-out brought about by the great eruption of Mt. Pinatubo 1991. It is now rising from the ashes by returning itself to the economic status that it once occupied and surpassing feats that any city or province has ever accomplished.
Angeles City is locally classified as a first-class, highly-urbanized city. It is near the Clark International Airport and Clark Special EconomicZone (formerly Clark Air Base).
Choose from the 11 duty free shops and numerous bars and restaurants located inside the secured boundaries of the zone. Mix business, leisure and fitness in any of the world-class championship golf courses at the Mimosa Fontana Resort and Country Clubs. Enjoy sky diving, off-road driving, or go on an aerial tour of Mt. Pinatubo.
Join the thrill of the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in February. There are lots of places of interest and tourist attraction inside Clark.
Loads of choices, and you haven’t left the economic zone yet?
Shopping is inseparable from a place like Clark and more generally, in the Philippines. Clark also hosts its very own Shoemart, otherwise known as SM Holdings Company Mall, the country’s leading mall chain. SM City Clark near the main gate is one of the latest in the chain and a personal extension of Clark exemplifying a class-act mall. You’ll love SM Clark’s outdoor fountain-embellished dining area complete with a Duty-Free Stores in Clark Zone, Pampanga stage showcasing local and national talent.
My family and I love to go out for bonding, especially on weekends, and our favorite place in which to do it is at SM City Clark. It’s a two-story shopping mall that offers some of the best slices of the city. Most of special events in our life like my kids’ birthdays are spent in this mall we call our second home.
This mall is for the whole family. You can easily spend the whole day here with your family. There’s the SM Department store, a Hypermarket for your grocery needs, a home furnishing store, an appliance center. Six movie theaters, restaurants, kiddie rides, record bars, a sports shop. a hardware store, computer shops, telecom shops — name it and they have it! You can also have your money exchanged at the currency exhange of the department store or at banks inside the mall.
Now, what’s left for me to fill this cart of items from SM City Clark?
What else can I ask for from my beloved city?
Malaus co pu! (Tuloy po kayo!)
Come and visit!
