What do you wish for in 2004?

Iam sure that all of us are wishing for a better 2004. It’s good to start the year by setting goals we can accomplish. We should face the challenges we will encounter in a positive way. Having survived the past year is enough to make us realize that we can carry on no matter what crisis may come our way.

IVY ALMARIO, interior designer:
I wish for the continued good health of my brother Dondi, the sustained growth of our business and always more time with my family. I know what I am not looking forward to – this coming elections in May 2004.

PINKY MARQUEZ, singer/actress:
There are so many things I look forward to this year. First of all I hope to make the decision that will lead me to a life that is peaceful, one that will allow me to spend lots of quality time with my children. I also wish for continued work. I want to make a difference by helping others and learning to say no to things that are not in line with my goals. I also look forward to finding an ideal home and a better Philippines. And lastly, I wish to have good health so I can achieve all these goals.

MALU GAMBOA, GM, Cirkulo and Milky Way:
I look forward to an effective and inspiring Philippine president, a stable peso, visiting new places in the Philippines and more happy diners at Cirkulo and Milky Way.

MARNI OCAMPO, owner, Sari Sari:
I look forward to attaining world peace, real world peace and the rest will follow.

CHRISTINE DEL VALLE, makeup artist:
I’m looking forward to the success of my new business, my own lipstick line. I’ve been working on it for six years. I hope to be able to launch it by middle of this year. I’m coming up with 10 exciting colors. I also look forward to spending more time with my kids Miguel, Nikki, Camille and Luis.

AUDIE GEMORA, stage actor:
We at Trumpets are always trying to explore and develop interesting shows. For this year instead of doing just musicals we are planning to do a show using puppetry based on the story of Noah’s Ark.

Under my other company Stages, we have discovered a new talent, Christian Bautista. He is a romantic balladeer. We need to find new pop idols. Christian was a finalist in the Star in a Million search and people took notice of his great talent.

Former Senator ORLY MERCADO:
The first thing I wish for are peaceful and orderly elections. I hope that it will be a political exercise without major problems. Peaceful elections are enough to start our country in the right direction.
