Fashion in the time of the new normal

“I really like how K-Way has jackets for all seasons. Some are really thick for winter, some are just right for fall, and some are good for spring showers. I travel a lot for work, so with K-Way, I think that I would have a jacket for every season, for every city or country,” says Cheryl Tiu, who happily posed with her fellow brand ambassador Marco Lobregat and managing director of Terry SA Anne Gonzalez.

MANILA, Philippines - Does the umbrella inside your bag make you feel “secure yet fashionable” for the day with unpleasant rainfall? The answer may be yes for some people, but for Terry SA, it’s a whole different story. Being the company that represents stylish brands like Havaianas, Thread 365, Dupe and Bensimon, it should not always be about compromising your choice of ensemble.

“For stylish millenials, their fashion choices represent their character and their lifestyle, but dressing up has become a challenge. They can’t simply look at the sky to conclude what the weather’s going to be the entire day, which is why they can’t simply put on, say, their trusted sweater or their favorite sundress. Plus, it is no longer just a question of style and comfort. We are also considering how we are going to protect ourselves from the irregularity of weather conditions,” shares Anne Gonzalez, managing director of Terry S.A.

K-Way, the latest addition to Terry SA’s growing fashion portfolio, responds to that need. The European outwear conceptualized in 1965 is a jacket known for its lightweight, waterproof, and reversible material. But what makes every K-Way jacket special is its twist, as it  can be folded in a small hip bag, which one can easily pack in their pouches.

Gonzalez adds, “Aside from safeguarding our much-loved clothes, we’re seeing K-Way as a style statement that can’t just allow the new normal—the bad weather—to ruin your lifestyle of choice.”

For K-Way’s launched at CommonThread in Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Terry SA presented Gameplan host and owner and manager of Sikat FC Amanda Fernandez for sports; founder of Ministry of Mushrooms, an advocacy where mushroom traders, farmers and food producers can sell their products directly to home and restaurant around the Philippines Marco Lobregat for the environment; stylish TV personality and blogger Patty Laurel-Filart for fashion; and publisher and managing editor and lifestyle columnist Cheryl Tiu for travel.

K-Way, a European brand of outerwear established in 1965, is the newest addition to Terry SA’s growing fashion portfolio. K-Way’s initial products will be sold at both CommonThread branches of Greenbelt 5 and Power Plant Mall and www.pormada.com. Follow K-Way Philippines: @KWayPH
