MANILA, Philippines - Exciting activities, promos, special offers, lovable mascots and fun pocket events are in store at Toys ‘R’ Us at its grand opening today, Nov. 16, at the newly refurbished Glorietta 1 in Makati.
The new branch, which had a soft opening last Nov. 5, showcases the latest Toys ‘R’ Us designs with animated images and icons plastered on walls, fixtures, counters and even doors. It is enclosed with glass walls and boasts playful ceiling design with color-changing LED lights. Customers will be awed by set-ups from big toy brands such as Hot Wheels, Transformers, Barbie, Fisher-Price, Razor and the Toys ‘R’ Us exclusive You & Me baby dolls.
During the soft opening, Toys ‘R’ Us ambassador Geoffrey the Giraffe welcomed guests to the store along with Lalaloopsy.
Geoffrey will be joined by Sylvanian and other favorite mascots in welcoming guests and customers at the grand opening today. Kids will enjoy face painting, a Rubik’s exhibition number by Richard Jay Apagar who was a champion at the prestigious Asian Rubik’s Championship held in Hong Kong recently.
The sprawling space, with over 1,000 sq.m., carries the latest selection of toys, books and educational stuff for kids, juvenile furniture, sporting goods, kid-friendly electronic gizmos and family games, among many others. Toys ‘R’ Us highlights special destinations that showcase playthings for all ages and needs. These destinations include zones for Girls’ Favorites, Boys Action and Adventure, R-zone, Family Fun & Games, Sports & Outdoor, Toys for Learning and Fun and Babies ‘R’ Us. The zones represent toy categories to help customers navigate the store easily for items specific to their liking.
