MANILA, Philippines — Ortigas Malls was named the winner of four Bronze Stevie® Awards in the seventh annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.
The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards are the only business awards program to recognize innovation in the workplace in all 29 nations of the Asia-Pacific region. The Stevie Awards are widely considered to be the world's premier business awards, conferring recognition for achievement in programs such as The International Business Awards® for 18 years.
With over 1,000 nominations from organizations across the Asia-Pacific region, Ortigas Malls was able to bag four bronze trophies for its malls, Greenhills, Tiendesitas and Estancia this year.
Greenhills took home the Award for Innovation in Community Relations or Public Service Communications for EntrePinoy. In collaboration with Mercato Centrale, it launched a nationwide search aimed to provide aspiring Filipino entrepreneurs not only with an opportunity to showcase their unique concepts at Greenhills but also business and marketing workshops that can help them develop their ideas and make them profitable.
Aside from this, Greenhills also bagged the Award for Innovation in Consumer Events for the first-ever Laser Light Symphony aimed to elevate the shopping experience during the most important holiday in our country, the Christmas season.
Recognized as the go-to place for pets, Tiendesitas’ Pet Blessing campaign also won the Award for Innovation in Consumer Events while the newly-launched Estancia wing bagged the Award for Innovation in the Use of Celebrities or Public Figures with its partnership with Heart Evangelista as the malls’ ambassador.
Aside from successfully increasing foot traffic and consumer interest across all malls, these award-winning initiatives also encouraged the public to actively participate in Ortigas Malls’ efforts allowing the brand to achieve its goal of constantly taking the shopping experience to the next level.
“We are always looking for new and innovative ways to engage our customers through unique experiences that will resonate with everyone’s interests here at Ortigas Malls. From supporting small businesses, providing activities for pets and their owners, to opening a premier shopping destination, we will always be humbled that we have new and loyal patrons that let us into their daily lives,” said Architect Renee Bacani, vice president of Ortigas Malls.
Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 100 executives around the world acting as judges in May and June.
“We are delighted that the seventh edition of the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards attracted so many impressive nominations,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Gallagher.
“This year’s winning nominations are a testament to the resiliency and innovation of organizations in the region, many of which continue to succeed despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we are disappointed that we cannot stage the in-person awards banquet we had planned for Hanoi, Vietnam this year, we look forward to celebrating many of this year’s winners during our virtual awards ceremony on 22 September,” she added.
