Manila, Philippines - Lucy Torres Gomez’s designs for Jul B. Dizon Jewellery doesn’t exactly need post-publicity as it’s almost sold out.
Last July 22, Lucy joined the Dizon family in a successful launch and jewelry event at the Edsa Shang hotel.
Designer Candy Dizon tells us how it happened.
“Lucy’s been a client for more than eight years, so whenever I design for her she always has a little bit of input. As the years passed, I realized she has a knack for it and knows how to put things together.
“Lucy was the one who designed all her pieces. She was so excited to do the project and even had her say on the theme of the launch. She specified Marie Antoinette, old rose and lace.”
Candy says Lucy designed 18 pieces of mostly earrings, rings, one necklace, and one brooch “that’s convertible to a pendant.”
“Lucy was very happy with the launch, partly because we made a corner for her, but mostly because almost all her pieces were sold—only three are left.”
