MANILA, Philippines – Lita Alejar-Faustino celebrated her 85th birthday at the McKinley Hill Clubhouse. She wore a black lace blouse and beaded fuchsia pants, with a fuchsia flower in her hair.
The celebration started with an opening prayer led by Lita’s eldest daughter Emy.
Present at the event were her eight children, 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, who honored her with a a rendition of one of her favorite songs, Two for the Road.
Guests were Lita’s close friends, including her high school co-graduates at St. Paul’s College and the University of Santo Tomas College of Pharmacy. Another friend, Edu Manzano, was also present.
Gary Valenciano and Tricia Jimenez sang for the birthday girl. Lita and her co-Rhapsody Ladies’ Norma Francis and Emy Faustino, sang All the Things You Are with Sonya Valencia as accompanist.
