MANILA, Philippines - With a learning approach steeped in the multiple intelligence framework implemented in the US and other countries, Multiple Intelligence International School (MIIS) is the only international school in the country with a progressive youth entrepreneurship program that encourages students to use their intelligences to make a difference for others and for the environment.
A centerpiece of the MIIS Youth Entrepreneurship Program is the Kids Can! Be Entrepreneurs Movement, which instills the importance of effecting positive change and using entrepreneurial skills to support a cause. Under the Kids Can! Be Entrepreneurs Movement, MIIS holds an annual kids’ bazaar called Kids Can! Bazaar #4GreenPH, which sells items and products that are planned, designed, and made by the students themselves.
The bazaar will be held at the Christmas Carnival, the biggest outdoor bazar in Makati on Nov. 29 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Globe Circuit Events Ground. Wares ranging from Christmas giveaways to products made out of muslin cloth or katsa and other eco-friendly materials will be sold.
“We believe in developing and honing the entrepreneurial mindset among our students from early age to senior high school,” says Mary Joy Abaquin, founding directress of Multiple Intelligence International School. With their entrepreneurial spirit and business skills, future captains of industry and business moguls will emerge from this young, new breed.
