Knowledge Channel leads the change

It has always been said that change is the only constant thing in this world. With that, it is only right that change should always be for the good of the greater number of people. This is the exact purpose of Lead the Change 2010 held recently at the Rockwell Tent in Makati City. Knowledge Channel’s story unfolded to the audience through founder and president Rina Lopez Bautista’s inspiring speech. Knowledge Channel Foundation chairman Oscar Lopez shared his thoughts on the prevailing social conditions and what can be done to help change it for the better. Guest of honor Synergos Institute founder and chair Peggy Dulany Rockefeller gave an inspirational message as a catalyst for the discussions. The event was an evening of exchanges of ideas for action on the changes needed to uplift the status of education in the country and eradicate poverty. Among the participants and guests from the different sectors were Jaime Augusto and Lizzie Zobel, Hans Sicat, Jose Rene Almendras, Dinky Soliman, Alfonso Yuchengo III and Ambassador Jesus Tambunting.

The floor was then opened to the audience for their questions that would help them in formulating ways on how to bring about desirable change in the country. All the guests discussed different social issues concerning education, environment, peace, governance and health over a sumptuous dinner. Table discussions were facilitated by members of the Board of Trustees in the Philippines of Synergos Institute. Here’s to a better and brighter future for the Philippines. Cheers!
