MANILA, Philippines - To express appreciation and gratitude to its business partners and associates, GE (General Electric) recently hosted the 3rd GE Invitational Golf Challenge 2009, at the pristine fairways of Sta. Elena Golf & Country Club.
Led by Colin Low, GE president for Philippines, Singapore and Cambodia/regional executive for Growth Initiatives, Asean, the annual customer event drew GE business leaders and key GE customers, business partners and associates from Philippine Airlines, Fortune Tobacco Corp., Shakey’s International, Team Energy Corp., Atlas Fertilizer Corp., DESCO, Health Solution, Technomed, and Kaleb Industries, among others.
“The 3rd GE Invitational Golf Challenge served as a venue for deepening our relationships and solidarity with our business associates and colleagues. It is GE’s way of expressing gratitude to our customers who have been a partner to GE all these years,” says Colin Low .
Exceptional players were awarded prizes during the “Funholes” games that included Hole in One, Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive and the GE Sportsmanship Award which went to GE Energy-Asia’s New Oon Ngee, who flew in just to join his customers in the golf event.
GE Healthcare-Clinical Systems country manager and SEA business manager Hermie Limbo, meanwhile, was the grand champion in the GE Executive Division.
In the GE Invitational Division, proclaimed winners were Class C champion Ralph Ante (president, Health Division); Class B champion Cesar Chiong (senior VP, PAL); Class A champion Augie Palisoc, Jr. (director, PLDT); and Overall Low Gross champion Lorenzo Guerrero (director, Shakey’s International).
Another most-awaited part of the event was the raffle where exciting prizes were given away to guests such as GE stainless refrigerators, GE microwave ovens, GE cordless phones, and a GE water dispenser, among others. International business class tickets were also given away courtesy of Philippine Airlines.
