Wine importer and distributor BestWorld Beverage Brands, led by its president and general manager Edna Diaz, capped off 2006 in style with two extravagant year-end events. At the Peninsula Manila, fashion elite gathered for the launch of Gaupo Shoe Couture’s Holiday Collection and sampled BBB’s old- world wines from Italian brand Zonin, the full-bodied red, the Montepulciano and Prosecco, a sparkling wine with a dry, fruity flavor. At Greenbelt, revelers assembled for a techno New Year’s celebration hosted by restaurants Nuvo, Mezze, Temple, Cyma, Segafredo and Italianni’s. Decorated with its trademark red ribbon, event sponsor Mumm Cordon Rouge brought flowing wine from the Champagne region. Also adding flavor to the occasion were Jacob’s Creek Sparkling Rosé, and aristocratic champagne Perrier Jouët Grand Brut.
