Ring in the high life with Globelines

Ahhhhhh, the joys of being a Globelines privilege plus subscriber.

"Globelines Privilege Plus is a loyalty program of residential subscribers who have post-paid plans," said Yoda Rabe, Globelines marketing manager. "And this is just the beginning."

Indeed.

We spent a day last week experiencing just what Globelines has for their loyal subscribers. And it all began with a treatment and pampering at the Rever Salon in Pacific Star Building in Makati. "What we do is give our subscriber a brochure which is inserted in their monthly bills. This brochure has coupons for the various discounts ranging from 5 to 50 percent in the different establishments in the Privilege Plus promo," shared Lara Lua, brand manager of Globelines.

But that was all Lara would tell us at Rever because the morning was for pampering. It was a relaxing two hours for myself and the other members of media who were there that morning. At Rever, Globelines privilege subscribers get a 10 percent discount for any treatment they get.

After all the treatments were completed, we were famished and it was off to Glorietta for lunch. And over pizza and pasta at Piu Pazzo we got more familiar with the profile of the Globelines subscribers. "We know that our Globelines subscribers like to shop and dine out," said Lara. "We got this information when we sent out a questionnaire to each of our subscribers and got answers from over 300 subscribers." And Lara shared with us that Globelines likes to make sure subscribers are treated with a personal touch and make them feel that important. This is why the people at Globelines make sure that they take time out to read all the answers to the survey questions that they send out to their customers.

"We try to see if we can accommodate all the requests we get from our subscribers. This is why we have been able to include 57 establishments in our Privilege Plus brochure," Lara added. Discounts and freebies are what Privilege Plus is all about and the good news is that there are more establishments which have said that they would like to be part of the Globelines program. "We want Globelines subscribers to not just to have a good landline experience but to be able to experience an exciting lifestyle through the various discounts and freebies we have for them," added Yoda.

There is more to come next year. Not only is Globelines focused on increasing its subscribers but it also is looking forward to increasing the coverage of Privilege Plus program. "Because of the positive response of the program we have been getting more and more companies interested in joining our program," Yoda added. "Next year we have targeted 200 establishments."

‘Nuff said.

We were stuffed but for Globelines the day was just starting.

After all, we were living the Globelines subscriber lifestyle. Off we went to three of the establishments participating in the program.

First stop – Freeway. And for any Globelines Privilege subscriber there is a 10 percent discount. The members of our group had a blast trying on the clothes at Freeway. We stayed at the store for over an hour and blended in well with the many other shoppers who were shopping there that afternoon.

Clothes in bag. Next stop was Celine were we got a taste of shoes, shoes, shoes. Here, subscribers get a 10 percent discount for cash purchases of P500 or more. Trying on shoes and more shoes was equally as exciting and there were so many to choose from. It was a stay of over an hour and by the time we left it seemed that all the shoes that the store had must have been tried on.

There was still one more store to visit. But this time it was a home store. Papemelroti to be exact. Here Globelines subscribers can get a 10 percent discount if they shop at the Roces Avenue store or 5 percent on a minimum purchase of P100 in the other stores.

The group still had so much searching for that item to bestdecorate either their rooms or homes. But there was nothing to try on in this store.

It was nearly 7 p.m. and time for dinner.

Our final stop for the day was at Café Havana at Greenbelt 3. And for Globelines subscribers, a 10 percent discount awaits them. We were famished and thoroughly enjoyed the meals we had. For me it was a vegetarian pasta and I devoured it before the group could count to 10.

There are many other establishments that are part of the Globelines Privilege program but for our privileged shopping day there were Ensemble, Janylin, GBX, Regalo Pambahay, Microtel Eagle Ridge Inn and Perfect You.
