Philippine Airlines brought together its Mabuhay Miles Elite and Premier Elite members for a classic clash of skills, savvy and spirit. A record field of 237 Mabuhay Miles Elite and Premier Elite members celebrated the inaugural launch of the golf tournament under the new Frequent Flyer Program, Mabuhay Miles. Despite the new name, the event was successful in maintaining its original vision: to promote camaraderie, rekindle old friendships and create new ties amid an atmosphere of fun and skillful play.
Bones Floro once more dominated the elite field of business executives and frequent fliers, firing an even par 72 on the tough and historic east course of the Wack Wack Golf & Country Club last Friday to capture top honors in the 2002 Mabuhay Miles Elite Invitational Golf Tournament.
The Lowest Net trophy went to lawyer Valeriano Pasquil, an eight-handicapper from Davao, who shot a gross 77 for a net three under par 69.
The major sponsors of the 18-hole System 36 tournament were Airbus Industry, Boeing and Air Philippines with DHL Worldwide Express Phils., Singapore Petroleum Co. and Mabuhay Miles Visa by HSBC as corporate sponsors.
The official hotels were Century Park Hotel and The Manila Peninsula while the insurer was Malayan Insurance.
Another super successful event by Philippine Airlines!
