MANILA, Philippines — It’s a universal truth that all mothers want the best for their children. For TV host and model Maggie Wilson Consunji, it’s all about allowing her six-year-old son Connor to explore and discover things for himself.

“Sometimes he says he wants to be a scientist, or a marine biologist, or even an engineer like his dad,” Maggie said of her son, who she also described as a “sweet and extremely gentle” child.

“I want Connor to know that he can be whatever it is he wants to be,” she said.

In a new video launched last May 11, Maggie also discusses how life has changed for her since she and husband Victor had Connor in 2012.

“Even as I’m saying it, it’s still hard for me to believe that I’m actually a mother,” she confessed in the video.

She then voiced that since she became a parent, her priorities changed even in traveling. Before, she used to go on impulsive trips and adventures with her friends. Now, she mostly travels for work, shooting her new TV show “Beached,” with a few family vacations thrown in between.

“We use Traveloka whenever we travel as a family. You know after I used it for the first time, I found this amazing villa in Bali (Indonesia). And it’s been our go-to for booking our hotels and flights, because it’s crazy easy to use,” Maggie said.

Also with Traveloka, the whole family can go on a few spontaneous trips from time to time.

“We do still go on the occasional impulse trip. Crazy Easy Travels makes it hassle free so why not, di ba?” Maggie said.

With this, she hopes that traveling would be part of Connor’s life.

“I want him to know that he can go places and explore, and discover things for himself. I want him to know that the world is his oyster,” she said.
