Already one of the most prominent brands on the market today, Under Armour recently signed tennis star Andy Murray, looking to not only grab headlines, but to make sure that they are prominently represented on the tennis scene.
In July 2013, he became the first British male in 77 years to win the Wimbledon championship. His other grand slam title was the 2012 US Open champion and he won a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics.
Murray is part of the sports “Big 4,” together with the world’s number one Novak Djokovic, and future hall-of-famers Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, and is expected to participate in Under Armour’s global training and tennis activations.
“I am very honored and excited to be joining Team Under Armour and to help them tell their story globally. They are committed to providing innovative apparel, accessories, and footwear, with an unmatched focus on training and performance,” said Murray.
With Murray in their fold, they can expect to get maximum exposure for the brand that puts a premium on helping the athlete excel in his sport. Their equipment stands out from the competition because their products are not just top-of-the-line, but performance- enhancing, too!
Talk about making huge strides in 2015 and Under Armour has got to be at the top of the list!
You have to try out their stuff to fully understand what I’m trying to say.
“Andy is very committed and focused when it comes to training and preparation, so this new partnership is an exciting and ideal match. Athlete performance and product innovation are the brand’s core pillars, which will have strong benefits for Andy and the team in 2015 and beyond,” added Matt Gentry, Murray’s manager.

The other week, Triple Pte. Ltd., the exclusive distribution rights holder for the Under Armour brand across Southeast Asia, gathered media friends to discuss their plans for the year.
The latest evolution of their leading-edge footwear that provides precision fit, feel, and comfort with its molded upper and zero distraction seamless heel cup, the SpeedForm Gemini, will soon be available locally.
SpeedForm Gemini is built for athletes who need extra cushion when taking on longer distances, whether they’re training for races or logging extra miles to reach new fitness goals.
One of the key technologies used in this latest innovation is the Charged Foam, a midsole foam that has a unique combination of bouncy feel and impact. Essentially, it adapts to the needs of any runner, offering superior cushioning and responsiveness.
The news that should excite Filipino fans though is the prospect of basketball star Steph Curry visiting the country soon.
Keep your fingers crossed.
