A cutting-edge tool for the modern female warrior

The story of Victorinox began in 1884, when Karl Elsener opened a cutlery workshop to deliver a more solid knife to the Swiss Army. Little did he know that what he had invented would go on to become an iconic and legendary tool — the original Swiss Army knife.

Over the years, customers’ needs and technology continuously change and Victorinox has to evolve to respond and deliver products that are likewise revolutionary and essential for both its alpha male market and the modern female warrior.

This year, Victorinox marked another milestone as it introduced its very first women’s line called Victoria, named after its founder’s mother. In an intimate gathering entitled “Queens of their trade” held last month at the New World Hotel, Victorinox, together with the Philippine Swiss Business Council, launched this new collection.

In true Swiss fashion, the event started with the ringing of a bell, a custom observed in Switzerland to usher in any important celebration. The program began with Jimmy Thai, CEO of the Primer Group of Companies, welcoming guests. Speeches by Swiss Ambassador Ivo Sieber and Philippine Swiss Business Council chair Rosario Cajucom-Bradbury followed.

The formal launch of Victoria was led by Madame Gracita Seiber, with a ceremonial checkmate move on a lighted chessboard, a move symbolizing the strength of the Queen.

Another highlight of the evening was the honor given to five Filipina CEOs: Rosario Cajucom Bradbury (SGS), Marife Zamora (Convergys), Maan Hontiveros (Air Asia), Pat Cortez (DKSH), and Ambassador Delia Albert (SGV).

These Filipina achievers were selected based on their significant contributions to their respective fields of discipline. Like Victoria, they embody strength, character, versatility, and excellence.

When it comes to elegance, superior craftsmanship, and technological innovation, Victorinox remains to be the pride of Swiss heritage with its iconic products and innovative range of lifestyle essentials. With the launch of its first women’s line, Victorinox has now expanded its reach to the modern woman, offering her a reliable companion for her versatile lifestyle.
