MANILA, Philippines - Popular health and wellness television show Be Alive has moved from cable to free TV, making it accessible to the general viewing public nationwide.
Beginning last January 4, Be Alive is being shown on PTV-4 every Saturday at 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon with replays every Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and live streaming at www.ptv.ph.
Be Alive is hosted by movie icon Maggie dela Riva, program creative director and former Eat Bulaga anchor Ana Rivera of the pop & rock duo Ana & Soraya Fire, and Filipino-American business and civic leader, philanthropist, and chief executive officer Susan Barlin of Forever Rich Philippines Inc., producer of the show.
Barlin said bringing the program to Channel 4 would enable non-cable subscribers to watch it for free and benefit from its wealth of information on health and wellness as shared by patients and the medical doctors of Forever Rich.
“Be Alive’s transfer from cable to free TV also indicates the change in its strategic direction from a merely informative advocacy show to a public service program that caters to the health and wellness concerns of its national and international viewership.
This developed after Barlin signed the broadcast agreement with Channel 4, now poised to undergo a P5-billion network upgrading and expansion.
The agreement between PTV-4 and Forever Rich also indicates significant improvements in the network’s programming geared at making it the country’s top news and public service broadcast station with the widest geographic and market reach.
A marketing firm with US-based international links, Forever Rich is the country’s master distributor of breakthrough product Laminine, a food supplement that helps bring an ailing human body back to its normal and healthy state.
