MANILA, Philippines - Wilson Phillips' latest album features songs that are very close to their hearts: songs that their parents have made, which have turned into classics over the years.

Unbeknownst to younger audiences perhaps is that Chynna Phillips is the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of the legendary Mamas & The Papas, while Carnie and Wendy Wilson are daughters of the Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys.

"The original vocal arrangements were so spectacular that when we heard our sound, we knew it was right. We tried to keep it simple, not oversing it. Not overproduce it, not too much," the group said when asked about the pressure of having to cover their parents' songs during Thursday's press conference for their first concert in Manila.

The concert will be held tonight, Friday, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The trio acknowledged that songs like The Beach Boys' Wouldn't It Be Nice, God Only Knows, Don't Worry Baby, In My Room and Good Vibrations and Mamas & The Papas' California Dreamin', Monday Monday, Twelve-Thirty and Got A Feeling are not just their parents' songs, but are songs that are beloved around the world.

"These songs are beloved classics for all time and they make so many people happy. It's an homage to the music, and we dedicated it to the groups that created it," said Carnie, whose husband Rob Bonfiglio produced the album.

This is not the first time that Wilson Phillips has covered their parents' songs. They have previously interpreted The Beach Boys' Dance, Dance, Dance and In My Room and Mamas & The Papas' Monday Monday in their third album, "California." They have also covered Our Prayer in their 2010 album, "Christmas In Harmony."

"They have so many great songs, but we could only choose twelve (for Dedicated)," Chynna said.

"We love our parents' music and it would bring us great joy to make another record of their music. We would do it in a heartbeat," Wendy added.

"Dedicated" is released in the Phillipines by Ivory Music & Video, the exclusive licensee of Sony Music in the country.
