MANILA, Philippines - Tin Novales, a dancer and Pilates instructor, and daughter China, were crowned winners of Amway Philippines’ first-ever mother-daughter pageant held recently at the TriNoma Activity Center.
The pageant was a celebration of how the unique relationship of mothers and daughters can be enhanced and strengthened by a commitment to beauty and wellness. Tin and China warmed the hearts of the audience with their moving dance interpretation of Ugoy ng Duyan. They also shared different stories of how they bond — from dancing together to going to the grocery together, as Mom mentors her daughter on the path to a healthy life.
The pageant was held as part of the Manila leg of the Family Health Summit, a series of nationwide events to promote family health and wellness among Amway partner independent business owners (IBOs) and the general public; and to provide them an opportunity to understand the products and opportunities available for them to grow their businesses. It was organized by Amway Philippines, exclusive distributor of the leading global brand of vitamins, minerals, and dietary supplements, Nutrilite.
“We want Filipino families to be reminded that being healthy is both a diet and a lifestyle choice. Each member of the family must support one another to think of fun ways to be active and use it as an opportunity to bond with your family,” says Leni Olmedo, director for marketing and business relations, Amway Philippines. “However, with the different challenges that families face nowadays, food supplementation becomes necessary to complete the nutritional requirements of our bodies.”
The Family Health Summit will also be held in different provinces: July 2, Limketkai Rotunda, CDO and July 17, NCCC Mall, Davao.
