SM cares for its consumers' welfare

MANILA, Philippines - It’s Consumer Welfare month and SM Supermalls invites shoppers to discover a host of shopping-friendly features that make shopping for everyone more comfortable and convenient.

Through its banner CSR program SM Cares, SM Supermalls has gone the extra mile to make the SM mall experience truly enjoyable for shoppers. From transportation, to mall parking, to features to help persons with disabilities, SM shows that it is truly committed to becoming the “Mall-for-All.”

SM Supermalls has gone to great lengths to ensure accessibility to everyone, even commuters. Public transport terminals have put the mall within reach of more people. It has partnered with a number of transportation groups such as bus, jeepney, FX, and taxi operators to make it easy to come and go.

Over 50,000 parking slots are at the shoppers’ disposal, with park finders put up to make finding a slot even easier.

All the malls are designed with the needs of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in mind. Handicapped slots are available at the parking lots and ramps have been added to make it easy for PWDs to move around the mall.

Phones and emergency buzzers have been placed in easy-to-reach locations and, as added precaution during emergencies, malls have installed warning lights to complement its alarm system.

Children with autism (CWA) also get to enjoy a mall experience that can’t be had anywhere else as SM Supermalls offers sensory-friendly entertainment movies, shown in theaters tailor-fit to address the needs of CWAs and their families.

SM Supermalls also offers unmatched value in terms of the shopping services it offers. Beyond offering quality merchandise, after purchasing items, shoppers may have the packages sent to the Package Pick-up Stations so they can continue shopping more comfortably. The packages can be picked up in one place at a later time when one is done.

The concierge also not only provides store information and assistance, it also sells call cards and show tickets.
