MANILA, Philippines - In observance of the 40th anniversary of the Capitol Medical Center–Department of Pediatrics, a health symposium will be held tomorrow, June 16 at the Imperial Palace Suite on Tomas Morato, Quezon City starting 8 a.m.
The symposium with the theme “Conquering the Threats of Infections Across Pediatric Sub-specialties” will have a panel of experts headed by Marissa Lucban, MD, FPPS, FCNSP, who will talk on “Approach to the diagnosis and management of viral encephalitis”; Olympia Malanyaon, MD, FPPS, FPCC, “Matters of the heart” (updates on the management of infective endocarditis); Germana Gregorio, MD, FPPS, (current trends in the diagnosis and management of hepatitis); Juanito S. Javier, MD, “Digging up the bones” (diagnosis and management of osteomyeletis); and Rogelio Mendiola, MD, FPOGS.
