Christmas, the season of joy, is said to be for kids. And what better way to make them truly happy than by giving them the most valuable gift of education this Christmas? The 10 x 10 Tulong Aral project of the Filinvest Corporate City Foundation and the Munting Kalinga Foundation aims to support the daily transportation and food allowance of 100 students for the school year 2009-2010. Those who would like to alleviate the plight of kids who might not attend high school or elementary education due to economic barriers may proceed to the designated booth at Festival Supermall until Dec. 31 for their donation of P4,000 cash or check. Individuals may also opt to donate as a group to pool their donations. Donor shall then stick his puzzle piece on the 10 x 10 puzzle board located at the Carousel Court to signify his donation and write a short message in the signature board provided.
The better news is, Filinvest Corporate City (FCC) Foundation shall match every donation given to the 10 x 10 Tulong Aral. This means that every time a person donates to the 10 x 10 Tulong Aral, FCC will give another donation to match it. Essentially, if the puzzle board is completed, that would equate to 200 kids to be supported. Munting Kalinga Foundation will provide donors with a school performance report of the scholar on a quarterly basis.
In the face of poverty, the FCC Foundation has been continuously raising funds to provide educational opportunities for the less fortunate children. Through the years, it has opened doors for many bright students who do not have the financial means to acquire an elementary or high school education.
