Globe offers Disney Mobile

MANILA, Philippines – The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia and Globe Telecom has announced this week the launch of Disney Mobile.

Globe will be offering Disney smartphones with its new myStarter postpaid plan offering for at least P750 per month.

The Disney Mobile phones carry the signature aesthetic of the Disney brand and initially come in three themes: Mickey Mouse, Frozen and Disney Princess.

Each device is customized from the interface, app icons, wallpapers, to the ringtones like “It’s A Small World,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” and “Part of Your World”. It also gives access to a range of Disney content such as games, apps, books and the Disney Philippines website.

Disney Mobile smartphones are dual-SIM, Android devices compatible with 4G LTE and run on Lollipop operating system. They have 5” HD IPS screen, 13-megapixel rear camera 5 MP front camera, and 1.2 quad core.

Disney phones are available exclusively with Globe myStarter postpaid Plan 500 with a P250 monthly cash out. The plan includes unlimited calls and texts to Globe and TM, 300 texts to other networks, 200 MB of data, 1 GB of Spotify Basic access, and free access to Facebook and Viber.

In a statement, Globe said that the myStarter plans aim to give customers worry-free experience with postpaid plans as the new offering comes with a fixed monthly bill and can be easily topped-up when needed. Subscribers can also opt to retain their prepaid numbers.

Globe and Disney entered a partnership in 2015 to gain access to brand properties of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and global leader in short-form video, Maker Studios.
