MANILA, Philippines - The gregarious, multi-talented Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi put off starting a lifestyle blog of her own for the longest time. “I didn’t feel I had enough to say, nor did I want to just spew random information about my daily life,” she says. Though Stephanie has always been a journalist, penning a column for The Philippine STAR, it is this current chapter in her life of balancing motherhood and a new career in television as a host for the shows Modern Living TV and Let’s Eat! on ANC that spurred her to finally launch StephanieZubiri.com.
Inspired by the people she meets who have much to teach on making life better and more enjoyable, Stephanie decided she wanted to record these moments to also help others celebrate a more joyful life. “Of course the blog remains very personal and I allow myself the liberties to recount memories, draw from personal experiences and once in a while ramble on about whatever may be preoccupying me at the moment,” she smiles.
October 7 marked the official launch of StephanieZubiri.com at Pottery Barn in Central Square, Bonifacio High Street, Global City, where the home-furnishing brand highlighted the latest pieces from its fall and holiday collections. In partnership with Pottery Barn and Oliviers &Co., Stephanie demonstrated one of her most favorite things to do (and which her friends can proudly attest to): how to entertain at home with ease and style. Food stations were scattered around the event area co-styled by Stephanie and Pottery Barn and the intimate crowd enjoyed a sensory experience of delicious nibbles prepared by Stephanie and Oliviers & Co., fine wine by Antique Wine Company and expertly sliced jamon Iberico by Txanton.
On StephanieZubiri.com you can find six different sections: “A La Maison” is all about making the everyday better, from housekeeping tips to baby stories and Stephanie’s absolute favorite easy recipes.
“Feast with Me,” spun off from her byline in The Philippine STAR, is about celebration and indulgence. Here you’ll find entertaining tips, wine suggestions, favorite liquors and cocktails, even cigars. It’s all about sensory experiences and enjoying life’s little pleasures.
“Design & Details” is about inspired living and beautiful design, not so much showcasing what’s new or what’s out there but focusing on a well-curated life. From art to furniture, interior design, table décor or floral arrangements, it’s everything with an interesting visual story, as well as practical tips to spruce up a space.
What creams to use to erase lines? How to ease back pain? Favorite workouts? The perfect lip color? The best kind of dress for your shape? The “Physique” category is all about physical self-improvement, covering beauty, style, fitness and wellness.
“People” features 10 questions. Different answers. Professionals from all walks of life get the same set of questions. There is a focus on journalists and the people who often conduct the interviews and never really get interviewed themselves. It’s about celebrating people —who they are and what they have to say.
“Furthermore” is for everything else worth sharing.
