Healthy and delicious baon for kids

MANILA, Philippines – The school baon is an important food source for your child because what you put in the lunchbox will affect his performance in the classroom, his energy during playtime and at the gym, and could shape his food choices later on.

The benefits of preparing a healthy packed lunch are tremendous but it can be a difficult task since healthy does not always mean delicious, and making healthy and delicious meals is not always easy.

Food variations in terms of shape, size, color, and texture will add appeal to your kid’s baon. And by including your child in the baon-planning process, you are making long-term healthy changes in his diet.

One of the ways to get them to eat healthy is to add vegetables in protein-packed (Monterey) meat dishes.

Lean meat is a very good source of iron to prevent anemia and low energy, while zinc helps ensure a healthy immune system to protect against infection. B vitamins available in meats also help in the formation of red blood cells and in the maintenance of the central nervous system.
