Mallgoers at The Podium recently had a glimpse of Korea’s rich culture and traditions during the exhibit and performances of Wind & Earth Tour Philippines held recently at the mall’s atrium.
Organized by Wind & Earth, a cultural institution, which bridges nations with different cultural backgrounds through culture and arts, the tour is aimed at enhancing the quality of mutual communication between Korea and the Philippines.
The event was also part of the celebration of the 60th Philippines-Korean friendship anniversary.
Activities included a mini concert featuring classical and chamber Korean music, and ceramic artist Jinchae Kim’s White Porcelain collection. A traditional tea ceremony was also held highlighting Korean hospitality through traditional refreshments and snacks.
The classical and chamber Korean music represented the wind. The earth was represented by the beauty and artistry of Kim’s White Porcelain collection.
Wind & Earth chairman Moon Yong Ho, president Ingo Moon, vice president Peter Kim, and general manager Daniel Park graced the occasion. We magazine editor Jin Song and members of the Korean community in Manila were also present.
