Inside the dancer’s closet

The dancer practices in a leotard and long chiffon skirt by Repetto.

MANILA, Philippines - Since the 1920s, dance and fashion have been influencing each other. Successful collaborations between designers and choreographers have resulted in beautiful collections. This year, Repetto launches a new collection, taking inspiration from a Parisian dancer’s wardrobe.

This season is about classy, romantic, and elegant designs of bags, dresses, and shoes. In this collection, Repetto brings you inside the closet of a dancer. As the dancer begins her day, she slips on her favorite chiffon skirt and leotard, perfect for her warm-up and pas de deux in the studio. She exudes discipline and rigor in her training in order to ensure that her performance later in the evening is worthy of the crowd’s standing ovation.  After her training at the studio, the dancer spends some time meeting with close friends over mid-afternoon coffee.

Repetto’s new ready-to-wear pieces were made to make any woman feel classy and poised like a true artiste. The Lisi sweater and viscose elastane skirt are for the vivacious and vigorous choreographer; the light fabric and vibrant colors can definitely make anyone dance. For a theatrical performance, the La Carlotta pointe shoes in satin melon and Repetto’s tutu plateau will definitely do the trick. A refined cocktail dress is just the right thing for a date with your man. The jersey and taffeta dress comes in a refined bicolored corset top and flared skirt, making it both comfortable and flattering to wear. Meanwhile, a structured midi-length skirt in ottoman paired with a tote brise vole in gypsy blue is fit for a night out with your girlfriends.

Get inspired and find these pieces at Repetto Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Drive corner Estella Street, Makati City, and Repetto Shangri-La Plaza, EDSA corner Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.
