DEAR RISSA,
I realized that I always work out so my body stays toned and firm, but what about my face? Are there products to keep my skin firm and tight? After seeing recent photos of Renee Zellweger, I don’t want to have sagging skin on my face!

It’s true! Women are conscious about their bodies — always working out and staying fit to make sure their body parts don’t sag and stay firm, but they tend to neglect the face. There are countless skincare products that address fine lines and wrinkles, but we’ve forgotten that sagging skin is a red flag to aging, too!
What I like about skincare brand Pond’s is that they seem to be there for you at every stage of your life. They have oil-control and pimple products for teens, a whitening range for brighter and more beautiful skin, whether you’re in school or a busy working woman, completed by the most effective anti-aging line women have sworn by.
I’ve been happily using Pond’s for the past seven years and the top two compliments I get are from my husband when he says he falls more in love with the way I look each year, and from other women when they say I don’t look like a mom of three. I’ve stayed wrinkle-free, thanks to my favorite skincare brand, but I need to address sagging skin when I hit my 40s. And this is why I love Pond’s — they recently launched the Pond’s Firm & Lift range. This new line addresses sagging skin at the Y-contour, which focuses on the jawline and neck.
This new anti-aging range boasts the tried-and-tested ingredients of the Pond’s Age Miracle line but is now infused with Instalift Complex, Aquaflex, and Hydrolized Collagen to firm, lift, and control sagging skin. The newly released products include the Pond’s Firm & Lift Face and Neck Lifting Day Cream, Targeted Lifting Massager, and the Eye Contour Lifter.
What I love most is how the Pond’s Firm & Lift Targeted Lifting Massager encourages a massaging action. I remember during my trip to Japan a few years ago that handheld facial rollerballs were a big beauty trend because they were said to stimulate facial skin and muscles to combat sagging skin and wrinkles. In past interviews I’ve had with global skincare and makeup experts, they shared that regular massaging helps strengthen the muscles of the skin so you prevent sagging later on. One international makeup artist even swears by it and makes it a point to massage the skin of models during Fashion Week before applying makeup. And now, coupled with the best-proven anti-aging ingredients from Pond’s, younger-looking skin is just a few massages away!

Top travel tips
DEAR LUCY,
I am going on my first trip to Europe and it will be a long flight. I want to travel light but chic and have all I need on the plane. Any pointers? JANET
Here are some travel and packing tips:
1. Get good, sturdy luggage (get the best your money can buy) and organize well your things inside by using packing cubes. They are just so convenient and make everything easy to find and manage.
2. Never carry too many bags on your body. Once you check in your main luggage, at the most you should just have a bag and a hand-carried luggage with wheels in the prescribed size.
3. Transfer in a little pouch all your beauty essentials so that even in-flight, you are still able to pamper your skin. Bring a good moisturizer, as your skin can get dry in the cabin. Drink lots of water to hydrate all throughout the flight. Bring lipbalm.
4. Wear comfortable shoes. I always choose ballet flats and a bonus is if you can find a lovely pair with rubber soles for maximum comfort without conpromising how sleek and fashionable it looks.
5. Always bring a well-cut jacket or coat, a cashmere shawl that can double as a scarf, thermal underwear in beige and black. It just simplifies everything.
6. Photocopy your travel documents but also record the details in your mobile phone. Tell the other family members you are travelling with to do the same. That way, you can fill out the travel documents without having to bring out passports.
7. Bring beautiful shades, always be well-dressed. It is always nice to look at someone that made the effort to dress up.
Basically, just anticipate all that you will need in-flight and have them at the ready, organized in a pouch, that you can tuck in one of the seat pockets. That way, you do not have to keep on standing up to open your luggage.
One last thing, always bring stylish sneakers and a crossover bag that you can use for shopping. It frees up your hands and is so convenient.
