MANILA, Philippines - Philippine Fashion Week (PFW) celebrates its 18th year with the vision of bringing fashion closer to the public with its upcoming spring/summer 2015 show on Oct. 24 to 26 at the SMX Convention Center.
This latest edition of PFW brings together nine of the most creative and prolific Filipino designers and local and global fashion brands who will be presenting full collections — over 20 pieces each. And this year, their designs will be availale immediately after the show.
“Now, Philippine Fashion Week will no longer just be a feast for the eyes. This time, we pave the roads that will lead from the runway to every fashionista’s closet. We have pooled together a must-watch line-up of designers and brands which have the capacity to make their creations available for the people to purchase, even right after the show,” says PFW director and executive producer Joey Espino.
Presenting their spring/summer 2015 collections are Arnold Galang, Cherry Veric, Eric delos Santos, Jeffrey Rogador, Jerome Salaya Ang, Jun Jun Cambe for EsAc, Lyle Ibañez for EsAc, Nardie Presa, Pat Santos, and Sidney Perez Sio. Each of the designers is set to present full collections in his and her own solo show, a first in the history of PFW.
Local and international fashion players are also prepped to parade their hottest and upcoming collections with brands like Forever 21, Uno de 50, Sfera, Suiteblanco, Human, and Kashieca participating.
Espino adds, “Everything they will see on the runway, they can immediately buy right after. And that is what distinguishes this PFW from the others. The fashion-loving buying public get a first look at local and global trends and they get to enjoy the products right after the show. All this of course, goes back to our goal of making this season of PFW more relevant and viable to the industry.”
PFW opens on Oct. 24 with Forever21 at 6:30 p.m., and Sfera, Uno de 50 and Suite Blanco at 9:00 p.m. On Oct. 25 will showcase EsAc (Jun-Jun Cambe, Lyle Ibañez and Audie Ae), Jeffrey Rogador, Jerome Salaya Ang, and Sydney Perez Sio at 6:30 p.m. The last day, Oct. 26, will feature Human and Kashieca at 5:00 p.m. and Arnold Galang, Cherry Samuya Veric, Eric delos Santos, Nardie Presa and Pat Santos at 8:00 p.m.
