DEAR RISSA,
What’s a quick way to look polished and presentable with my makeup? Please suggest a multi-tasking product for someone who’s busy like me. I am morena.
FIONA
Whether you’re a student swamped with schoolwork, a busy career woman or a hands-on mom, it’s best to go for skincare products that multi-task! The precious minutes you save make a huge difference!
I’m so happy Pond’s recently came out with a Pinay-friendly color for their BB cream. The Pond’s Flawless White BB+ Cream is available in Light and now also in Beige. The new Beige hue is perfect for dusky morenas or chinitas with yellow undertones. The great thing about the Pond’s BB cream is that this multi-tasker will be your sunblock, skin brightener, and makeup rolled into one! You will also fall in love with its consistency and texture. It’s refreshingly light, blends seamlessly, and creates a fresh, even complexion. It’s the best BB cream in my beauty book. I have tried this when it was first launched and it has cut down the time I have to do my makeup. This is perfect for achieving the much desired no-makeup makeup look. It makes your skin more beautiful and healthier with everyday use, too!

The perfect styles for two lovely fabrics
DEAR LUCY,
I was gifted with two beautiful fabrics — a pale pink in delicate lace and a molten metallic gold. I have no idea what style I should have them made in. The lace might make me look like a debutante (I am in my 40s already) and the gold fabric may give the impression that I am trying hard to look young and sexy.
MALINDA
I would suggest that you have the lace fabric made in a structured style. Nothing frou-frou or sugary sweet. Keep the silhouette of the dress sharply cut and close to the body, with a bit of sexy going on somewhere — maybe a deep V (but so well done that it does not show the breasts at all) or a slit at the back. Wear shoes with stacked heels so you channel the vibe of a chic Italian lady, and wear bright or bold colored lips. Pale lips will make the look too sweet.
For the gold fabric, have it done in a languid style. Make it skim the body, keep the length past the knee, maybe spaghetti straps to show off some skin. Do not choose a skimpy or tight style as these may make your look like that of a showgirl.
Go to a good designer with an excellent cutter so your beautiful fabrics do not go to waste.
LUCY
