MANILA, Philippines - Just for this special event, AdCreate students of De La Salle University put aside their books and concentrated on their looks to hold an acquaintance party called “Sol: Made in Brazil” last Aug. 13 at Decagon, Silver City.
Summer may have come and gone in the rainy month of August, but the La Sallites, true to their animo spirit, certainly brought sunshine to the ramp at this AdCreate show full of creativity and fun.
In fact, it was four times more fun as there were four sets of fashion shows. The first set, sponsored by Honda, showed off clothes designed by Veejay Floresca and Ino Caluza. The clothes embodied the personality of the new Honda Jazz, with its sleek design and state-of-the-art features.
The gals sashayed down the ramp in gowns and dresses while the guys marched down in their jackets and vests.
The second set featured the summer collection by Jellybean and Folded & Hung with matching jewelry for both gals and guys.
The third set consisted of clothes designed by Koi. The purely swimwear collection was paired off with accessories by Love.Eyecandy and Yuki Makes Things. The guys wore jeans from Freshgear, made even more refreshing with splashes of bodypaint.
For the fourth set, the organizers bought white tees from Divi and painted the sponsors’ names on each shirt, which the models wore with underwear from Santimo, accessories from LePlume, and jeans from Freshgear.
The stunning models, who came from different universities and colleges, included: Patty Lloren, Regine Cheng, Vern Enciso, Kylie Versoza, Andy Wong, Liz Lecaroz, Anna Chua, Bianca Legaspi, Mica Cruz, Betina Tagle, Vince Velasco, Paulo Polinag, Dom Delgado, Cher Lu Pio, Meena Mathani, Monika Sta. Maria, Rebecca Padilla, Brit Romero, Liz Lecaroz, Phoebe Rutaquio, Mica Padilla, Marica Araneta, Dannica Borja, Jorge Nicolas, Daniel Velasco, Daryl Rose, Mike Yap, Jed Manguerra, Gian Cruz, Luigi Celdran, Allen Nabablit, Tracy Torres, and Gail Sarmiento.
Jazzing up the event was an interpretative dance promoting health and wellness performed by Musiquality composed of Cari Espenesin, China Francisco, Kat Santos, Wee Abarabar, Mai Navarro, Mar Garcia, Phoebe San Pedro, Anabelle Palomar, Iya Olive, and Tracy Collantes). This dance segment was sponsored by United Laboratories.
Lighting up the stage was a performance by Loving Lima, LED Dancers.
The enthralled crowd was kept on its feet by another dance performance by Team Elite composed of Shiela, Eric Ejercito, Ico
Ejercito, Tracy Collantes, Brent Chuameeco, Pamela Carunungan, Therese Rivera, Aranne, Kavriel Sullen). The dance crew consisted of DLSU and College of Saint Benilde students.
Bringing the house down was a backbreaking breakdancing performance by Jara Nakamura, Paulo Buenaventura, Rocky Estallo, Gatz Lopez, and Ico Ejercito.
The show was for the benefit of Pangarap Foundation.
The very animated night was spinned by DJ Kat De Jesus.
The sponsors of the event included: Federation of Advertising Organizations, Freshgear, Koi, Le Plume, Avon, Love.eyecandy, Yuki Makes Things, and Bratpack. Co-presenters were Unilever, Santimo, Zestair, Havianas, Etc, Lukfoo, Honda, Folded & Hung, and Jellybean in association with Laybare and Unilab.
