MANILA, Philippines - Beauty guru and civic worker Ricky Reyes opens the fourth branch of the Ricky Reyes Learning Institute (RRLI), along Aurora Blvd. in San Juan.
Like the other branches of RRLI in Cubao, Quiapo, and Alabang, the new RRLI branch offers courses in cosmetology, and hotel and restaurant services.
Cosmetology courses include haircutting (basic and advanced, for men and women), hair coloring, hair perming, manicuring/pedicuring, make-up, facial treatment, hairstyling, foot spa, and massage.
Under the hotel and restaurant services (HRS) cluster, RRLI offers housekeeping, bartending, food serving, front desk operation, kitchen operation, wine and beverage operation, and public area housekeeping operation. Course offerings have been expanded to target the training of auxiliary staff in the service industry.
RRLI courses are conducted by TESDA-certified specialists and professionals in air-conditioned classrooms and learning laboratories. Courses are open to high school graduates, and multiple courses can be taken at the same time, at the preference of the enrollee.
All courses have theoretical and practical components to ensure the optimal training of its graduates. HRS students practice in a suite laboratory with a bedroom, a living room, a bar, and a dining room. Cosmetology students practice on specialized dummies and actual models.
RRLI has tie-up programs with hotels such a Manila Diamond, Mandarin Oriental, and the Golden Sunset Resort & Spa for the students’ on-the-job training. RRLI is also allied with two accredited international placement agencies that help students secure employment after graduation.
