Are you a gender-blender or a fairy princess?

Seasons come and go. For that, we get ever-changing makeup trends and looks. Now that it’s spring/summer, we will never get bored with wearing the same staple colors every single day. Here are some makeup brands that will surely spice up your best features, making you look glamorously haute in no time:
Awake
The look: Stardom’s Tint Glint has fascinating color tones and delicate glints. The effect is like a watercolor painting accentuated with glinting particles.

Collection: Eye makeup does not usually last. If you want your eyelids to shine, try Awake’s Eye Tint. This liquid eye color comes in five pearlescent shades that give a smooth texture and will last despite water and sweat. If you are not used to pencil eye liners, try Awake’s Gem Glint. This liquid liner accentuates the eyes with a gem-like glint. Plus, it doesn’t smudge. I love Awake’s Lip Tint. Lipsticks are usually heavy on the lips. This Lip Tint works like a tinted lip balm that moisturizes and protects the lips from UV rays.

Bonus: Awake tied up with New York-based designer Catherine Malandrino, so for every single-receipt purchase of P10,000, you will get her haute canvas bag with eyelet designs – perfect for all your Awake essentials.
Chanel
The look: Lumières Magiques de Chanel got its inspiration from film shots. Each shade sculpts, emphasizes and highlights, making the face radiant as if by magic.

Collection: Painting the face with makeup is like creating a masterpiece. Chanel highlights its trio of powders to sculpt the facial features. Colors like intense pink, deep orange and pale lilac complement each other. So, the trick is to blend. Don’t forget to make your lips shine by applying Cristalle Gloss after the Rouge Hydrabase lipstick. Very sophisticated and truly personalized makeup.
Christian Dior
The look: Brit band Blur sang "girls will be boys," and this gender blending is Dior’s new look for the season. Just think city-chic libertine reinventing the gamine style.

Collection: The trend for this season is hot lips and chunky bracelets. I just love my new best friend, the Dior Gourmette. This lip gloss duo comes in the most fashionable flat-link silver metal chain. No wonder it’s called the makeup bracelet for the lips. Don’t forget to glamorize the eyes with DiorCraze 235, a watercolor blue and green eyeshadow. Definitely androgynous and sensual model makeup.
Lancome
The look: A modern fairy tale inspired by William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Think romanticism. Think poetry.

Collection: Yes, indeed, there is always something dream-like about beauty. Lancôme’s cult collection includes the color harmonies of mauve and pink vibrations and cool pastels, as seen in its eyeshadow palettes. I find the case really enchanting because of the rose design. To make the lips super shiny and hydrated, check out the limited-edition Juicy Tubes which, of course, match this romantic makeup mood.
M.A.C.
>The look: Inspired by flowers, Marimekko prints, rich textiles, M.A.C.’s Culturebloom is when everything feels as if it is being washed with fresh color.

Collection: Each hue is created to leave a floral imprint on the face. Just think of Andy Warhol’s flowers and you’ll understand. So, start with a violet Underground eye kohl pencil. Then add a peachy Love-bud eye shadow. Brighten up the lips with bright red Poppy Hop, a frosty apricot shade. For pale cheeks, dab a little blushcreme pearl in either the Blossoming or Sweet William shade. What a full-bloom look, indeed.
Nars
The look: A soft and serene Wanderlust look disguised in sophistication.

Collection: I love neutral tones because they’re perfect for any skin tone. Nars’ Star Sailor has a cute name and, of course, cute shades. These shimmery shades of gold and antique bronze can perk up the eyes. If you want your cheeks to blush like a little girl who just saw her crush, try the Madly blush in seashell pink. Oh, don’t forget to make your lips glow with Sandpiper, a shimmering amber coral. This simple, sun-kissed look is absolutely fabulous.
Shu Uemura
The look: Express emotions of Sweet Mode, enjoy a yummy feeling of sweetness with a twist, and shout returning to the roots of innocence.

Collection: Shu Uemura shows off sweet, candy-coated colors and interesting textures. The pressed eye shadows come in shades like Strawberry Mousse, Orange Sorbet, Lemon Curd and Blue Icing. Oh, what a treat! For something new, the Eye Jelly is a cool and sparkling water eye color that has a jelly-like texture (it’s bouncy) and a long-wearing formula. Just tap on the lids. My personal favorite is the brown shade for a "mocca chocolata ya ya," Lady Marmalade look. Dig the Eye Light duo pencil in blue and yellow and the Glow-on cheek blushes in pop colors like Sakura, Sugar, and Apricot. To top it off, embellish the lips with sweet lip gloss in three yummy, limited-edition colors. Everyone just loves candy.
