Good finds in a box from Chocolate

In this season, luscious furs and leathers are too hot to trot in. These delicious wares are sadly mismatched to our tropical paradise. Unless you’re a savant like Tim Yap who can make fur look as appropriate as a T-shirt in the daytime, we can only wish for a theme party that will have skiing in the mix.

So for the party season, we leave our babushka fantasies on the backburner, because the only Russian thing that we will be doing is drinking lots of vodka. So it’s not all about surrendering. It’s about getting excited over the delicate renditions of this season’s romantic must-haves.

Chocolate, the fashion boutique that satisfies the sweet tooth of every fashion pundit and style princess alike – unveiled its holiday collection. Ana Amigo Antonio, creative and managing director of Chocolate Clothing Company, brought Aussie labels Grab, Endless Spirit, and Earth Angel. Inspired by Amanda Gilham Fisher, the Grab Industries founder who sold T-shirts from the back of her pick-up truck, Ana was so excited to put up Chocolate Clothing with her good friend Mike Advani.

Bringing in all the labels the Grab Industries brand house carried, Chocolate Clothing opened two shop-in-shops in Rustan’s Makati and Rustan’s Tower. Chocolate Clothing, now in its third year, recently opened the 12th store on the fifth floor of Shangri-La Mall. And just in time for the party season, Chocolate Rockwell Power Plant branch recently moved to a prime location at the main hall, second floor.

Chocolate’s most tantalizing draw is its impressive mix of denims by Grab. With an impressive selection of fits and washes – cult, slink and everyone’s favorite Grab style Frisk – the denims do not disappoint. Lengthening legs and curving the most bashful of butts, Grab is choice seduction artillery.

This holiday season, Chocolate Clothing offers an array of delicious party styles that match every cocktail du jour. Endless Spirit cocktail pieces in subtle metallic fabrics and flowing silk chiffons denim-ready or sometimes with some fantastic sartorial sleight of hand, red-carpet ready.

And if you’re off on holiday leisure, be sure to pick up a piece from Loungeri Lux, my new resort wear line before you go anywhere (shameless self promotion; don’t hate me). It comes in limited styles and colors so you’re sure not to bump into anyone at the beach wearing the same thing. It’s also inspired by cocktail dresses, so you can even wear it out. I always do in all of my ventures. I make sure that there is always something in it for me! There is a goddess in all of us – promise! Loungeri Lux is available at all Chocolate Clothing boutiques at friendly prices (P1,799 to 2,899).

So take the party wherever you go because you’ll never know what you’ll get in a box from Chocolate.
