The joyous Festival of Trees

Now, palanggas, what could be a more appropriate embodiment of the Christmas spirit than the colorful and one of a kind Festival of Trees? For those still not in the know, the festival is an annual joint environmental fund-raiser sponsored by the Makati Garden Club (MGC) and the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP). It benefits three ecologically threatened coastal areas: the Western Samar’s Maqueda Bay, Cebu’s Olango Island, and Quezon’s Ragay Gulf.
