MANILA, Philippines — The Faaabvlous “Fab Gala” book launch and photo exhibit was held recently at The Peninsula Manila’s Rigodon ballroom and at the Pen Gallery, respectively, by international portrait photographer Rupert Jacinto.

Dubbed as the “Photographer to the Faaabvlous” by The Washington Post, Jacinto mounted his 9th Faaabvlous event, co-presented by The Peninsula Manila. The event is in partnership with the Advertising Foundation of the Philippines in support of their advocacies, as well as in support of the Hydrocephalus Foundation of the Philippines.

The A-List crowd savored champagne and wines from Titania Wine Cellar and Liquid Gold. Guests of honor at the ribbon-cutting were: Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian, Swedish Ambassador Harald Fries, Indian Ambassador Jaideep Mazumdar, The Peninsula Manila GM Mark Choon and Faaabvlous icons Nene Tuason Quimson and Margie Floirendo.

The Gallery decor was by JunJun Ablaza and Fab Gala flowers by Nina Halley of The Love Garden. An auction of a Ramon Orlina sculpture was held by the evening’s host Bea Escudero, with entertainment by Rachelle Gerodias and Byeong-In Park, as well as by Carina Dignos and Danny Favis.
