MANILA, Philippines - Children from various welfare centers and barangays in Manila trooped to Museo Pambata last December as the country’s first children’s interactive museum celebrated its 20th anniversary with a gift-giving activity. The event brought cheers to 1,500 indigent children who went home with gift bags filled with food, toys and other Christmas goodies. Among the friends and sponsors was The Fookien Times Philippines Yearbook.
Since it opened in December 1994, Museo Pambata has served as an alternative learning venue to over six million children and adults with its pioneering principle of hands-on discovery learning.
