MANILA, Philippines - Bernardo Sim, president of the Alliance Française de Manille, was awarded Chevalier (Knight) in the Légion d’honneur by French Ambassador Gilles Garachon during a reception last 19 September 2013. The Légion d’honneur is an order of chivalry established on May 19, 1802 by Napoléon Bonaparte and is one of the highest distinctions bestowed on individuals by the French Republic.
