MANILA, Philippines - Last July 11, Alliance Française de Manille officially reopened its doors after 9 months of construction and renovation. As part of its ambitious development plan, 2 new floors and more than 12 new classrooms have been built to offer brand- new learning spaces to the students, a fully renovated theater/auditorium and an acoustically sophisticated music room. This special evening was also the opportunity to bid farewell to M. Stéphane Doutrelant, AFM Executive Director for the past four years. H.E. Ambassador Gilles Garachon also graced the evening celebrations by participating in the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony with Bernardo Sim, AFM president. To end the friendly and relaxed gathering, the Jewelmer Jazz Band and other impromptu guests gave a special concert in the new music room located at the 4th floor.
