MANILA, Philippines - The Urban Land Institute (ULI) recently launched its report entitled “Ten Principles of Sustainable Development of Metro Manila’s New Urban Core,†which focuses on best practices and recommendations in urban development from around the world to provide a possible blueprint in helping transform Metro Manila into a world-class city. A special guest during the event was Miss Universe 2011 third runner up Shamcey Supsup (photo, center), who is a licensed architect by profession and is a vocal advocate of urban development in the country. At the launch of the report were ULI officials and member representatives Stephanie Ng, senior associate of ULI Asia Pacific; Ravi Govada, marketing and communications director of UDP International; Rick Santos, CBRE Philippines chairman and founder; John Fitzgerald, senior vice president and executive director of ULI Asia Pacific; Dr. Sujata Govada, project director and member of ULI North Asia; and Charlie Rufino, chairman of ULI Philippines and president of The Net Group.
