MANILA, Philippines - As part of its advocacy on sports development and advancement in the country, Globe Telecom forges an exclusive partnership with De La Salle Zobel, giving the telco exclusive naming rights to its new football field, now called the De La Salle Zobel Globe Football Field.
With a cash sponsorship of P2.5 million, the partnership will span a period of seven years and will give Globe exclusive branding opportunities during football events and practices of various teams.
Measuring 94 x 62 meters, the De La Salle Zobel Globe Football Field is the first artificial turf field in the south of Manila located inside Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City.
In his speech delivered by Globe chief financial officer Albert De Larrazabal, Globe president and CEO Ernest Cu shared that the company holds a strong commitment and advocacy in supporting sports development in the Philippines.
“We have always chosen to rally behind institutions that herald shared values of fair competition and giving back, and De La Salle Santiago Zobel is one of those,†said Cu. “Globe and La Salle also stand for giving back to the communities we serve. Through our joint endeavor, we are effectively opening up sporting opportunities and developing budding talent in pursuit of greater glory for God, country, and the academe.â€
