A partnership to uplift the lives of Filipinos

MANILA, Philippines - First Pacific Leadership Academy (FPLA) represented by Roy Agustin K. Evalle, general manager for Leadership Succession and Development, and Smart Asia International Staffing Services (SA) president and CEO Danilo V. Paragas, officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), which is aimed at uplifting the lives of hardworking Filipinos.

Under the MOU, FPLA will train identified personnel from the manpower pool of SA for their eventual deployment in high tech-high demand industries abroad.

FPLA’s program trains potential linemen for the Freedom Group UK, a recognized world-class provider of engineering services to the utility sector and wider markets, working primarily with various electricity distribution networks. This new Lineman Program design came from regional director Barrie Browning and operations manager Paul Parfitt,  both from Freedom Group UK. This innovation means FPLA-trained linemen are now fully equipped to become UK certified Linemen for the British electric utilities sector once deployed through Smart Asia.

Through this continued partnership, FPLA and SA will continue to develop people for them to be empowered leaders in their respective fields, working towards building our nation from within and from abroad.

“This partnership is very important since both FPLA and Smart Asia have a common desire to uplift the lives of our countrymen. FPLA will prepare them through the technical-training program while SmartAsia deploys them to work in another country, benefiting both the individual and the Philippine economy as well,” said  Evalle.

From the perspective of the Filipino, the opportunity to ensure that they will be able to provide a better future for their family underscores the sacrifices they will have to endure.  SmartAsia serves as their gateway in achieving this goal, more importantly believing that the strength of Filipinos lies in the fact that they are exceptionally hardworking, with the ability to properly adapt, regardless of the circumstances.  This in turn draws other nationalities to believe in the capability of the Filipino to work in the different industries worldwide, given the proper training to augment their existing competencies.

And this is where FPLA comes in — as a partner in providing that avenue for them to fulfill their aspirations.  Ensuring that they are fully equipped to work and meet the demands of the new roles they will take as they undergo intensive technical training, facilitated by experts backed with extensive years of experience in their field; providing them the assurance that the knowledge and skills they gain will be sufficient to help them achieve their goals.

FPLA is at Km. 27, Sumulong Highway, Antipolo City.
