MANILA, Philippines - A lot of people think about making a positive change in their lives at the start of the year, but not everyone manages to follow through on their plans for self-improvement. Be guided by experts towards personal, social, financial or career change with the UCC Beacons of Change Vision Logbook for 2011.
The Vision Logbook is both inspiring and helpful, having been co-created with the country’s top beacons of personal, business, financial and social change such as Francis Kong, Randell Tiongson, Raju Mandhyan, and the Let’s Go Foundation.
Building on the theme “Positive Change and Planning for Change,” the UCC Vision Logbook aims to deliver to loyal UCC customers a blend of motivational and practical information to keep ways to bring about positive change throughout the year on top of people’s minds.
“We are truly honored to have the country’s most respected and sought-after top business coaches working on this project with us,” said UCC Philippines founder and owner Hubert Young. “They willingly shared their inspirational and powerful yet practical ideas that would propel positive personal, social, and national change beginning with envisioning it.”
The Beacons of Change — Francis Kong, Randell Tiongson, Raju Mandhyan, and the Let’s Go Foundation — attended the launch of UCC’s Vision Logbook to show their support for the campaign.
“Behind every major movement is the stubborn determination of one solitary person who dreams,” motivational speaker Francis Kong explained. “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. This is why Mahatma Gandhi said: ‘You have to be the change you want to see in the world.”
When it comes to the world of finance, Randell Tiongson had something to say about how to manage your savings. “A lot of Filipinos look at the lotto as an answer to their financial responsibilities,” he said. “But there’s no shortcut in life. You really need to build your fortune — one peso at a time.”
Mind Mapping expert Raju Mandhyan gave a brief overview of the Mind Mapping process, which is a fun and easy visual thinking tool that enables you to analyze concepts more and cultivate your creativity in expressing ideas.
Jay Bernardo, founder of the Let’s Go Foundation, gave a talk that aspiring entrepreneurs should take into heart. “We may be a country full of crisis, but we will be a land full of opportunity,” he said.
The basic vision of logbook includes 2011 and 2012 calendars and contains various useful modules such as a travel vision logbook, conversion tables, notes, and Francis Kong stories, tips and quotations. This can be claimed after a UCC customer accumulates P5,000 in UCC Coffee Concept Store receipts.
More promotional coupons for free dishes or drinks are inside the logbook. A customer may claim the logbook by presenting receipts issued within the promo period (Dec. 15, 2010 to Feb. 28, 2011). The customer will be given a Beacons of Change Card, which will give him/her a chance to get a seat to a Group Collaboration Talk with Francis Kong. A Beacons of Change Card will be stamped when claiming add-on modules, and must be completed to join the Coffee Collaboration talks.
Customers may also avail themselves of additional modules, such as Randell Tiongson’s 12 Easy Steps to Financial Wellness, the Mind Mapping by Raju Mandhyan, and the “Entrepreneurs Workbook for Change” by Let’s Go Foundation. Customers can choose one of these three modules for every P1,500 single minimum receipt purchase at UCC Coffee Concept Stores within the promo period. As a bonus, UCC is also organizing hour-long Coffee Collaboration Talks. These will give UCC customers the rare chance to meet one of the beacons for a conversation and consultation.
For a chance to win a seat at the Coffee Collaboration Talks, a customer may drop a stamped Beacons of Change Card stub to UCC Podium tambiolos by 11 p.m. on the last day of each release week (Jan. 8 for Financial Wellness; Jan. 15 for Mind Mapping; and Jan. 22 for Entrepreneur’s Workbook for Change).
Ten names will be drawn the following Monday at the UCC Podium branch to determine who gets a seat to the Group Coffee Collaboration Talk with the Beacon (Jan. 11 for Randell Tiongson; Jan. 18 for Raju Mandhyan; Jan. 25 for Let’s Go Foundation’s Jay Bernardo). The schedule of these talks will be posted at the UCC branches by Jan. 2, 2011.
There’s another bonus awaiting those who get all three add-on modules. Each customer who has a Beacons of Change Card with stamps and UCC Manager signatures for all three modules within their respective release weeks may drop their stub in the UCC Podium tambiolo on the week of Jan. 23 to 29, 2011 by 11 p.m. on Jan. 29. Ten names will be drawn on Jan. 31, 2011. Winners will get a seat to the Group Coffee Collaboration Talk with Francis Kong.
Five percent of the proceeds from the UCC Beacons of Change Vision Logbook program will be donated to Christ’s Commission Fellowship, a movement with outreaches for ethics and values formation for government, outreaches for prisoners, street children, cancer and substance abuse patients, and other sectors of society. The promo will run until Feb. 28, 2011.
