MANILA, Philippines - Through its novel customer loyal programs, American Express Platinum Card has established a strong presence in the country in less than five years.
“In addition to the quantity of benefits that we offer to our affluent clients, we pay attention to the quality of the privileges offered to every American Express Platinum Cardmember. The Platinum Partners 2009 Program is an example of this business strategy. It makes available to American Express Platinum cardmembers an impressive array of premium deals from restaurants, retail shops and wellness establishments preferred by affluent customers. When cardmembers use their Platinum Cards in restaurants at Dusit Thani, Edsa Shangri-La, Makati Shangri-La and Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, they enjoy savings of up to 15 to 20 percent on their bills.
“We also track our cardmembers’ most favored establishments and analyze their spending behaviors,” notes Abigail Aguilar-Cifra, senior manager, American Express Cards Usage Marketing.

In shopping, American Express Platinum cardmembers enjoy savings of up to 30 percent from stores like Atelier Avatar, Aum Jewels, and T. Florencio Jewelry, Bonne Bouche, Bose, Fully Booked, and Paul Smith.
In addition, cardmembers can also enjoy privileges and benefits at 41 hotel partners, 33 retail merchants, 120 dining outlets, and 25 wellness merchants participating in the American Express Selects program. This is in the Philippines alone. The Selects program is also a global project of American Express offered to all cardmembers worldwide. Peso Platinum clients enjoy similar privileges in each of the countries where American Express Cards are issued.
Lastly, Platinum cardmembers can call the 24/7 concierge service to make restaurant bookings, ticket reservations, and gift delivery within Asia Pacific countries.
