Magnolia Ice Cream pioneers in-mold labeling

Ever the pioneer in ice cream technology, Magnolia Ice Cream goes ultra-modern in its packaging with its in-mold labeling.

In-mold labeling is a technology used to mark plastic products during manufacture. This produces a much better quality of labeling than any other printing can, since the label becomes part of the plastic tub itself.

Since the decoration and molding processes are combined, there is less internal transportation of the containers, eliminating intermediate storage of the tubs. Less storage and transportation means less handling and thus, less chances of contamination for the customers.

For purchasers, plastic containers with attractive embellishments are a plus. Instead of simply throwing the containers away after the products are used up, the consumer can recycle the container and use it for storage of other household items.

Ladies can store their jewelry in the pretty storage tubs. When money is hard to find, why not be practical and recycle? Instead of buying “treasure chests” or jewel boxes, the tubs can be recycled into jewelry cases.

Of course, leftover food may be safely refrigerated or frozen in the recycled container. Food supplies that are to be frozen for later use, like raw poultry, meat, or seafood, may be secured in the freezer inside this pretty container.

An additional advantage of this new technology for the consumer is the fact that the plastic tubs can be recycled as microwavable containers since they are manufactured to be microwave-safe. Magnolia Ice Cream tubs also have tamper-proof locks for consumer assurance of safety.

The tub is even pretty enough to use as a serving dish, so it can go from freezer to microwave to dining table.

Magnolia Ice Cream is available at supermarkets nationwide. The new containers are available in different collectible designs.
