PETA, Globe bring ‘Batang Rizal’ to Dagupan City

MANILA, Philippines - Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) in partnership with Globe Telecom recently staged the highly successful and long-running production of Batang Rizal to Dagupan City attended by thousands of college students from different universities and colleges in Pangasinan.

The educational, interactive comedy-musicale theater play has been on tour around the country, giving a fresh and interactive look on the life and works of our country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. It features an all-original music composed and arranged by Maestro Vincent de Jesus, with the direction of Dudz Teraña, and written by Christine Bellen.

Students from University of Pangasinan, University of Luzon, Lyceum Northwestern University, Colegio de Dagupan, Dagupan City National Highschool, St. John Cathedral School and STI, among others, trooped to the Astrodome in Dagupan City last March 8.

“Both Globe and PETA believe that connection is about enabling the market to identify itself with the product. When a student says, “I am a loyal Globe user”, it resonates like a label brought about by a satisfaction that translates into strong and lasting connection,” said Alfred Moreno, regional sales head-Central Luzon of Globe.

In order to watch the play, students bought a TM SIM at P20 and load at least P20. For existing subscribers, they just have to load P30.
